Cai Khe Project
The tidal sluice gate combined boat lock - Cai Khe is a level III irrigation project located in Cai Khe ditch between Ninh Kieu Bridge and Cai Khe Shopping Center.
In the afternoon of October 30th, 2023, the boat lock was closed to prevent flooding from intruding Can Tho City (mainly in Ninh Kieu and Binh Thuy Districts) when the high tide peaked.
With the gate's closure, a series of central roads remained safe from chronic flooding on October 31st, enabling people to travel easily and facilitating business and trading activities in the area.
