Huoi Quang hydroelectric plant generates electricity in unit 2
On the night of June 19, unit 2 of Huoi Quang Hydropower Plant (Son La) with a capacity of 260 MW officially generated electricity and successfully connected electricity to the National grid for the first time.
Huoi Quang Hydropower Plant Project is built on Nam Mu River with a total installed capacity of 520 MW. This is the first underground hydroelectric plant designed and constructed by Vietnam with 2 underground water tunnels inside the mountain, each tunnel is 4.2 km long, the generator is located underground in the mountain.
